Actalent Field Service Technician in Lake Bluff, Illinois
Job Title: Field Service TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a seasoned Field Service Technician with a solid background in electronics. In this role, you will provide expert technical support both in-house and in the field. Your duties will include understanding schematic readings, wiring diagrams, and being familiar with 3 phase power. Additionally, you will handle major troubleshooting, minor edits to PLC programs, and run diagnostics. An understanding of relay ladder diagrams and experience with 3 phase industrial motors is crucial for this role. You will also be expected to travel nationally 50% of the time for 2-3 days at a time, up to 2 weeks per month. When not traveling, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting over the phone.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
Work Environment
You will be part of a small, dedicated team of 35 employees at a manufacturing company. Building contractors will install our products, and you will travel to oversee the installation process, factory acceptance testing, and power up of equipment. Locations for travel include large warehouses, commercial buildings, and high rises. The products we work with include Fire Pump Controllers per building codes.
