The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, IN currently has an opening for a West Dock Shipper . In this role you will be responsible for safely packaging and shipping material to internal and external customers around the world. One of the primary areas of focus for the Shipper will be shipping discrepant material back to suppliers. The Shipper will also work any Direct Shipments for Mega Downs and other hot orders. The Shipper will also be responsible for created BOL’s and insuring material readiness for shipments. Candidate must be flexible with hours based on business needs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Ordering parts and shipping supplies.
Moving material to the dock and loading trailers.
Maintaining inventory accuracy on all shipments.
Utilizing computer system to input parts orders and move interplant material.
Scheduling and tracking outbound shipments.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have at least 2 years of stand-up and sit-down fork truck experience.
Must have good written and oral communication skills.
Self-motivated, safety-conscious individual capable of working independently.
Moderate computer skills.
Top Candidates will also:
Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support demands.
Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.
Packaging and shipping experience highly desired.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.
Stand on concrete for 8+ hours.
Additional Information:
Location of this position is in Lafayette, IN
Position available is on 1st shift (6:30am – 2:30pm)

Summary Pay Range:
$22.65 - $29.45
