Robert Half Credit & Collections Analyst in Laconia, New Hampshire

Description

We are in search of a meticulous Credit Analyst to join our team in Laconia, New Hampshire. The role involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and handling customer credit inquiries. This position also entails monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary actions to collect overdue payments. This opportunity is a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise records of customer credit

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Utilize CRM and IBM AS/400 systems for data processing

• Analyze credit reports and set credit limits based on the analysis

• Ensure compliance with the company's credit policy

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve credit issues.

Requirements • Proficiency in credit analysis, with a strong understanding of credit application processes and credit limit setting.

• Demonstrated knowledge of credit reports, including interpreting, analyzing, and utilizing them in decision-making processes.

• Experience in collections processes and strategies, with a focus on maintaining customer relationships while efficiently recovering debts.

• Ability to assess creditworthiness of individuals or businesses applying for credit, using a range of criteria including earnings, savings data, payment history, and purchase activities.

• Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, cash flow analysis, ratio analysis, and projections.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal stakeholders and external clients.

• Proficiency in relevant software tools and platforms used in credit analysis.

• A commitment to staying up-to-date with laws and regulations relating to credit and lending practices.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on detailed analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.

• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial sector, would be advantageous.
