Adecco Staffing is working with a high-level manufacturing facility in Laconia, NH who is looking to hire additional CNC Setup Operators on 1st and 2nd shift! This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
Pay Rate :
1st Shift: $26.39 per hour
2nd Shift: $29.03 per hour
Schedule:
1st Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday - Friday, OT may be required when needed.
2nd Shift: 3:30pm to 12:00am Monday - Friday, OT may be required when needed.
Job Summary:
Perform required duties to set up and operate CNC machines
to machine parts within production specifications, working
to close and critical tolerances and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work from drawings, process sheets, specifications, standard procedures, instructions.
Setup and operate CNC machines to machine a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous parts such as bodies, bushings, races, bearings, and rod end assemblies.
Select speeds, feeds, and set tooling on machines.
Position and secure workpieces on machines, using holding devices, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
Operate one or more machines simultaneously.
Monitor machines and make adjustments as necessary to ensure parts meet production standards.
Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervision.
Remove workpieces from machines, and check to ensure that they conform to specifications, using measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
Change broken or worn out tooling when required.
Run first piece to ensure standards are met and obtain department approval for production run.
Maintain inspection department initial calibration of gauging using masters and gauging blocks.
Sharpen tooling.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow all safety and security practices.
Perform other job related duties as required or as directed.
Job Skills & Abilities:
Read and understand product blueprint/specification sheets from engineering department.
Read, reference and interpret written and verbal instructions; always following established standard procedures.
Maintain established production levels and quality standards.
Recognize and report any irregularities as to fits, defective parts, finishes, work techniques and/or quality of workmanship.
Maintain necessary records; work is subject to audited inspections.
