Responsibilities
Analyzing production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, safety, and quality.
Diagnosing and resolving operational or quality issues that may occur in the Plant to minimize further downtime or Plant upset.
Ensuring that products meet required specifications and quality standards through regular monitoring and testing.
Adhering to safety regulations and implementing best practices to create a safe working environment for all team members by applying Zero Incident Mindset at all time.
Collaborate with Supply Chain or Product Management to develop production schedules and resource allocation to meet demand.
Work close with WEC to facilitate regular maintenance and repairs of production equipment, ensuring it operates at peak performance.
Analyze and collect production data to guide decision-making processes and enhance overall productivity.
Working closely with other departments, such as Maintenance, Quality (QA&QC), Procurement and supply chain, to ensure smooth operations.
Providing on job training to either junior engineers, PTS and/or operators on production processes, procedure and correct safety protocols.
Work close with Process Engineer to improve capacity, reduce downtime, reduce operating costs, improve quality or implementing new technologies within the plant.
Lead the investigation for any Process Safety near misses/incident or customer complaint to look for reasonable root cause and prevent recurrence.
Helps coordinates all major plant shutdowns and turnarounds.
Develop manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality of finished products
Participate in and provide data Process Hazard Analyses, and work to close gaps identified during PHAs.
Assists the Production Team Supervisors with training of operators and chemical processes.
Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations, ensuring safe equipment operation and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Maintain accurate records of production data, process changes, and equipment performance while preparing regular reports on production metrics, including yield, efficiency, and quality.
Monitors all consumption figures and production statistics. Perform Month end closing and provide accurate report to management.
Work close with Site Operations Manager to prepare and manage budgets and conduct financial analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Maybe assigned as a competent person to lead/monitor the operations of waste treatment/wastewater quality or bag filters/scrubber operations.
Comply to relevant quality, environment, health and safety management systems requirement established at site.
Qualifications
Minimum a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing / chemical / industrial from a recognized institution of higher learning.
Familiar with SAP and common applications software (Word, Spreadsheet, Minitab, SAP). Able to use PI Vision system and DCS WorkStation effectively to assist in any engineering troubleshooting of respective plants.
Fluency, both written and verbal, in English and Malay Language.
Minimum 10 years' working experience in manufacturing environment.
