What will you be engaged in?

As our new Business Analyst Senior Associate, your day to day responsibilities will include but not limited to;

• Demand Generation: Develop, analyse, and execute data-driven coupon strategies to attract new users and increase bookings on the platform.

• Demand Optimization: Build and maintain robust user segmentation models to understand user behaviour and tailor marketing efforts for maximum impact.

• Project Management: Manage and execute project-based tasks related to business strategy and optimization. This may include conducting surveys, A/B testing initiatives, and building data visualisation dashboards.

• Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of user behaviour, market trends, and competitor data to generate actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making.

• Collaboration is Key: Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Supply, Operations, Product) to translate insights into actionable strategies and initiatives.

• Storytelling with Data: Effectively communicate complex data analysis and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.

Are you the ideal candidate?

• At least 2 years of experience in an analytical background

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Business Analytics or any numerate degrees equivalent. Candidates with Post-Graduate degree (i.e. Masters / PhD) are highly encouraged to apply

• Must have SQL experience e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Superset preferred

• Demonstrated experience of Python or R coupled with basic machine learning methodologies and algorithms experience

• Working knowledge of dashboarding software or service, e.g. Superset, Tableau, QlikSense, Power BI and Google Data Studio

• Must have a collaborative approach to problem-solving and be able to work under pressure, with tight deadlines

• Plus if prior experience in the product development process, agile development, and lean startup methodologies

• Candidates without prior experience in the mobility sector are still encouraged to apply. However, candidates should be a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude, have the willingness to go beyond their comfort zone to learn new things and adapt to changes quickly

• Enjoy a fast-paced environment and can align business objectives with product priority

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear and concise insights.

• A passion for the sharing economy and a strong understanding of the car rental landscape in Malaysia.

• A results-oriented individual with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.

What will your roadmap to join SOCAR look like?

• 1 session - Talent Acquisition Team (Virtual or face-to-face)

• 1 sample task (To be pitched in the subsequent round)

• 1 session - Hiring Manager (Virtual or face-to-face)
