Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Analytics team serves to provide our business with exceptional value in automation and business intelligence through custom application development. Our fast-growing Analytics team continue to receive a flux of new and exciting incoming project requests to solve real business problems via ETL, python programming, data science and front-end application development. Our team Project Coordinators play a key role in managing development and timeliness of delivery to the business in addition to utilizing their own technical capabilities to help manage key projects.

About this role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join TE Connectivity’s Industrial Solutions (IS) Segment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders and team members in technically coordinating using Agile and Scrum methodology all aspects of developing Business Intelligence solutions . Including from data preparation and python development all the way to data visualization and beyond.

The successful candidate will provide direction on technical decisions in developing data models, applications, and dashboards for a global audience of 400+ users. This is an ideal role for a passionate individual motivated by business facing interaction, close team coordination and value adding activities.

This is a diverse role of which the successful candidate will experience being deep in the business, but also deep in technology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage projects assigned to the team and closely cooperate with our business and technical partners to meet with expected needs

  • Be a partner with our stakeholders to create business value , cooperate closely with Analytics Manager, Product Owners, and technical leads to achieve reliable, valuable, solutions supporting data driven decisions

  • Make partnership with business teams to identify their needs and provide suitable analytical tools

  • Manage Data Analysts team to achieve the effective and efficient governance of self-service BI tools through developing and fostering standards, processes, and visualization / analytics best practices

  • Track value of our solutions and impact on the business strategy

  • Cooperate closely with Analytics Manager, Engagement Manager, Technical Leaders to follow up/create standards, develop strategy and build strong analytics team

  • Supervise streamlining of data preparation and processes for maximum automation and efficiency supporting environment migrations where required

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years’ experience in working within an Agile environment

  • 3+ years of experience in project delivery as IT Project Manager

  • Proven experience in project management

  • Possess knowledge of overall application development

  • Awareness of Data & Analytics solutions

  • Advanced user of JIRA, Confluence , Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to approve own work and work of others, results oriented, customer focused, team player

  • Strong business facing communication skills and a passion for solving real business problems .

  • Ability to m anage projects with minimum of supervision

  • Ability to maintain high quality support for our products and internal customers

  • Provide a positive attitude and drive for business and team support

  • Actively build and maintain high level of solutions quality

  • Basic SQL knowledge and experience - nice to have
