Senior Manager, MPU Application Engineering
Job Description
Lead and mentor a team of application engineers in APAC to provide exceptional technical support to customers using Renesas MPU products.
Help define and implement MPU related customer support strategy for the greater APAC regions to enable both pre and post sales opportunities.
Play a hands-on role to understand and articulate Renesas MPU solutions and value proposition that meet customer's needs.
Determine customer requirements and expectations and proactively recommend products, solutions, and services needed to develop their end user applications.
Coordinate closely with Sales/FAE and Business Development APAC teams to support their sales goals.
Serve as a technical expert on Renesas MPU products, providing guidance and training to internal teams and customers as needed.
Help develop new business by analyzing customer feedback and market trends to identify areas for product/solution improvement and new solutions.
Manage customer escalations and coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain technical collaterals, application notes, and training materials to support customers and internal teams.
Drive the development of solutions and Proof-of-Concept designs to showcase
capabilities of Renesas MPU products.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to provide insights and recommendations in engineering for MPU product roadmap.
Manage application engineering projects with partners and design houses.

Qualifications
【Must】
Experience in application engineering for ARM MPU-based embedded products and systems.
Excellent leadership and technical communication skills
Solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience with microprocessors for Linux and RTOS based embedded systems.
Good understanding of hardware design and schematic related to MPU, camera, display, and communication modules.
Global work experience with cross-functional foreign team members.
Japanese: Business level
English: Basic level and above
Travel requirement: 25%
【Want】
Experience with Renesas MPU products or similar semiconductor products.
Experience in high-end HMI, video codec, embedded artificial intelligence applications.
Experience in real-time control, industrial ethernet and TSN.
Good understanding of Security protocols and secure software design methods.
Additional Information
This position will be responsible for leading the Renesas MPU based Application
Engineering (AE) Asia Pacific (APAC) teams and providing services as described below in
collaboration with the other AE teams in the global organization. The physical work location
will be the Renesas Musashi site in Tokyo, Japan.
