Responsibilities You will serve as a Supervisory Engineering Technician in the Industrial Division (SPK15), Operations Management Department (SPK10) of Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT), Kings Bay, Georgia. You will be responsible for selecting, developing, and supervising a subordinate staff to accomplish the work required in the Industrial Division. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will evaluate requirements for Strategic Weapons System (SWS) and Nuclear Weapon Systems (NWS) facilities, modifications to existing facilities, and/or disposition of existing facilities. You will support the research, development, design, evaluation, construction, inspection, production, application, standardization, testing, or operation of engineering facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, or materials. You will manage a cost-effective maintenance and sustainment program through contracts and in coordination with local Public Works Department (PWD) and Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) and their processes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NJ-03 (GS-11 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading teams in the application of engineering theories to evaluate construction plans or specifications and develop plans, field surveys, technical studies or estimates for construction, alteration, sustainment or repair of facilities. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
