Lockheed Martin Staff Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Software Engineer in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania

WHO YOU ARE:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Staff Digital Signal Processing Software Engineer to join our team.

At a level 4 this person would be considered an emerging authority with 7+ years of experience working with the following:

• Digital Signal Processing development

• C++ development and integration

• Software Defined Radios (SDRs)

• Agile / Scrum methodology

THE WORK:

As a Staff Digital Signal Processing Software Engineer you will:

• Integrate and test various parts of our system that implement transmitter and receiver designs for diverse mission solutions across a wide array of domains including communications, telecom, electronic, and sensor systems.

• Work with the COMMs Team Lead to review, analyze, and test existing waveform capabilities for protocol spec compliance, mission performance compliance, and system level behavior accuracy

• Enhance waveforms to increase resiliency to real world conditions. algorithm performance / compute efficiency, and probability of detect & decode

• Develop, Debug, Test across several C & C++ Code Bases

• Design & Architect new waveform approaches and logic

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of signal processing/algorithm, electronic warfare, or Radio Frequency technology development

• Professional experience with C or C++ programming language

• This position does not require a security clearance to start but will require the candidate to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of modern DevOps tools and practices, including Continuous Integration (CI) Environments and Pipelines, Git, CMake, or Modern Development IDEs

• Software development experience with Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)/embedded systems

• Working knowledge of FPGA design and implementation

• Experience working with commercial and/or military comm’s waveforms

• Working knowledge of SDR frameworks

• Experience modifying & deploying SDR codebases

• Experience working with open architecture communication (VICTORY/MORA standards)

• Developing in a Linux environment (Real-Time kernel experience a plus)

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
