If providing hope and healing through compassionate, innovative, and individualized care interest you, we welcome your application for the position below.The Clerk II performs specific tasks assigned by the Canteen Manager in order to provide retail sales for patients and staff in the facility. He or she must always adhere to personal hygiene and work area sanitation standards. The Clerk I is required to wear standard protective clothing at all times and specialized protective items as required by work assignment. He or she is expected to be customer-oriented, and be able to work closely with patient workers. Vending operations are part of this position, requiring the use of Excel and being able to lift 30 pounds. In the event the Canteen Manager is unavailable, the Clerk I will perform end-of-day operations. The Clerk I works an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday, a rotation of Sunday shifts is set up by the canteen manager, hours worked are 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturdays. He or she may work unusual or extended hours in the event of a disaster. Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.Conducts retail sales of merchandise to consumers and employees to supply consumers and employees with desired foods. Working in 610 Canteen as well as 604 Canteen.Displays, prepares, and stocks merchandise for retail sales in order for retail sales to be made. Participates in the ordering of merchandise and supplies to ensure availability. Monitors usage and stock levels. Assists with maintenance of inventory controls to control costs. Participates in completing sanitation, safety, and security tasks to promote a clean, safe, and secure Canteen environment. Stocks vending machines and monitors inventory levels. Attends and participates in all mandatory training in order to meet KSH requirements, maintain job competence, and develop professionally.Performs other duties as assigned.
