Career Path High Assistant Principal in KAYSVILLE, Utah

A blended charter school located in Kaysville, Utah, is now accepting applications for a full-time Campus Principal for the upcoming school year.  

 

As Campus Principal of the school they will be responsible for driving our mission at the school level, creating and maintaining an outstanding school culture for students and adults, leading the instructional vision for the school, building and developing leadership in staff members, and empowering students over their own education.

 

SCHOOL ASSISTANT Principal POSITION OVERVIEW

 

•      Establish the infrastructure, procedures, and plans necessary to carry out the School's philosophy, academic goals, and policies at his/her assigned campus.

•      Comply with all of the policies and procedures established and/or adopted by the Board of Directors and/or the Lead Director.

•      Coordinate public relations with the Lead Director and ensure that community members are made aware of enrollment opportunities and are accurately informed about the School. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

•  Work with the Lead Director to meet the marketing needs of the school in order to meet the school's enrollment goals.

•  Interact with the Lead Director, other administrators, students, parents, and representatives of community organizations to help promote the School's goals.

•          Monitor the blended registration/lottery program and provide regular communication with families that have applied and/or registered for enrollment at his/her school campus.

•          Establish safety drills and emergency procedures in accordance with state law and best practices.

•          Adhere to the budget guidelines set forth by the School's Board and the Lead Director.

•          Ensure that his/her campus operations comply with applicable audit and financial requirements.

•          Interview, supervise, train and discipline campus staff and hire and discharge his/her campus faculty with the approval of the Lead Director.

•          Ensure that all teachers at his/her campus obtain and maintain required certifications and licenses and work toward 100% highly qualified staff.

•          Work with the Lead Director to develop a master employee evaluation system and conduct teacher evaluations regularly in accordance with state professional licensing requirements.

•          conduct weekly data team meetings with teachers to analyze data on student performance and assessments to inform instruction and intervention.

•          Lead the creation, development and implementation of the curriculum that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of the School.

•          Monitor data relating to students' educational progress.

•          Responsible for the development of good staff morale

•          Support and oversee School-sponsored events involving his/her campus.

•          Provide the Lead Director and the School's Board of Directors, with reports on the academic performance of students attending his/her campus, and pa rticipate with the Lead Director in setting performance goals and objectives for the School and the campus.

•          Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information regarding the School, staff, and students.

•          Comply with all applicable state and federal laws in connection with the performance of his/her duties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

 

      Bachelor's Degree

      Masters Degree or MBA preferred 

      Experience in school-based or non-profit administration preferred.

      Blended learning administration or instructional experience a plus.

      Deep understanding of personalized learning and mastery based education.

      Leadership experience with demonstrated exemplary results and experience working with diverse students and communities.

      Strong project and staff management experience.

      Ability to work and manage multiple priorities in a fast-p ced environment.

      Clear and compelling communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

      Strong problem-solving and planning skills.

      Experience in using multiple technology platforms and comfort with learning new tools and applications.

      Adept at analyzing data to improve student and staff achievement.

      Ability to communicate the principles of organizational success.

      Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambiguity.
