What would I be doing?

Located just East of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone. Ameristar Kansas City has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel and much more. Ameristar Kansas City also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. Ameristar Kansas City is seeking a Slot Supervisor. The successful candidate will provide friendly, courteous and efficient guest service and ensure a prompt response to all guests’ needs. You will also provide cashiering, slot machine services, transaction verification, assistance and oversight to Slot Service Specialists.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all department and property policies, procedures, and internal controls

• Job Tasks must be finished in a timely manner according to department standards

• This is a non-uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with the company and departmental non-uniformed appearance standards while on duty

• Must maintain the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information

• Coach, monitor, and develop team members

• Issuing timely performance evaluations on subordinates while offering developmental guidelines and resources to achieve goals

• Ensure great guest service and prompt response to guests’ needs at all times

• Assure that the slot machines are operating properly and that all jackpot payoffs are executed in a timely manner according to company policy

• Verify, process, and authorize jackpot payouts

• Support and assist Slot Service Specialists and other Slot Supervisors on the Casino Floor

• General monitoring of job performance of Slot Service Specialists

• Consistently monitor and manage the departments’ labor and payroll standards.

• Assist Guests with general questions concerning the Casino

• Respond to change lights on slot machines and assist customers

• Other various duties as assigned by leadership

What are we looking for?

• Excellent communication and guest service skills for both internal and external guests.

• Ability to count money and make change.

• Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills.

• Supervisory skills.

• General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.

• Ability to establish rapport with other team members throughout the casino

• Maintain a positive attitude at all times

• Be able to work in a fast paced environment

• High school diploma or equivalent

• One-year slot experience or prior slot experience

• Ability to obtain and maintain required state gaming license
