Elevated Advisory and Accounting Lead Accounting Specialist in Kalispell, Montana

Position Summary:

As a Lead Accounting Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in onboarding new clients, ensuring their accounting systems are meticulously evaluated, cleaned, and organized. Your expertise will bridge the gap between our accounting specialists and the management team, providing leadership and ensuring the highest standard of financial accuracy and client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new client accounting books and systems, identifying areas for improvement, and spearheading cleanup projects.

  • Manage the client onboarding process, including project timelines and deliverables, while maintaining clear and consistent communication with clients throughout their journey.

  • Perform monthly reviews of accounting specialists’ work to ensure accuracy and compliance with current financial practices and regulations.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for advanced bookkeeping and payroll queries, offering solutions and strategic advice.

  • Collaborate with business advisors to assist in initial financial cleanups and various project-related tasks as required.

  • Develop and refine internal accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the company.

  • Implement best practices in accounting management, contributing to ongoing process improvements and staff development.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with a proven track record in managing client accounts and financial projects.

  • Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial information clearly and concisely.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and systems, with a keen aptitude for learning and adapting to new technologies.
