Position Specific Description
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing compliance obligations related to Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Grid Interconnection Agreements (GIA), ISO and state regulatory requirements for our renewable assets portfolio, including wind, solar, and battery projects. You will also be responsible for building robust processes and developing procedures to ensure continuity and efficiencies. Operating under general supervision, you will also lead special projects, conduct data-driven analyses, financial modeling, due diligence, and project management to support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and detail oriented, strive in fast paced environment, possess strong communication skills, collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrate a proactive approach to leveraging technology for process optimization. Compliance and energy experience would be a plus. Travel is expected to be approximately 10% of time.
Job Overview
Employees in this role support the overall P and L management of one or more NextEra generating assets. Individuals review findings to be presented to senior management. This position supports budgeting and forecasting, analyzing P and L variance, participating in ad hoc and special projects and coordinates with other business units regarding initiatives.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Completes complex financial, operational, or technical project analysis
Conducts analyses regarding issues that have an impact on the operation of a specific functional area and makes recommendations to management
Leads medium to large project teams that support informed decision making within the business unit
Maintains project schedules and reviews team member input and documents for technical accuracy
Performs ad hoc projects, report development, modeling, and other miscellaneous projects
Oversees discretionary capital improvement or restructuring projects for generating assets
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 4+ years
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Master's - Business Administration
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
