Position Summary:
The Director of Treasury Services at Arkansas State University (A-State), plays a critical role within the Treasurer's Office. Reporting directly to the University Treasurer, the position is responsible for promoting proper stewardship of university resources through oversight of cash management and debt management operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Director of Treasury Services reports to the Treasurer and is responsible for:
Monitoring the university bank accounts for appropriate activity
Initiating ACH and wire transactions
Monitoring departmental cash/check collection procedures and advising on proper procedures
Supervising the cashiering staff
Preparing journal entries to account for university investments and assisting with backup for financial reports
Preparing periodic billing statements for non-student accounts receivable
Ensuring excellent customer service to parents and students, as well as the campus community
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of general accounting practices,
Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
Critical thinking skills.
General Days/Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Summer hours may vary.

Minimum Qualifications:
An earned Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, or other related field.
