What You’ll Get to Do:

As a CACI Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) Tactical Operations Trainer you will be part of a team of embedded maritime tactical trainers that supports Marine Forces Europe and Africa (MARFOREURAF) with the integration of sUAS systems into the Tunisian Regiment Commando Marine’s (RCM) tactical maritime training, operations, actions, and activities in Bizerte, Tunisia. You will work alongside CACI Maritime Operations Trainers to integrate sUAS systems into all aspects of maritime training and Program of Instruction (POI) development and execution to further develop and refine the capabilities of the Tunisian RCM with their assigned mission.

More About This Role:

  • Permanently assigned to Bizerte, Tunisia for up to one year in support of MARFOREURAF objectives alongside the Tunisian RCM.

  • Develop a tailored sUAS POI to enhance the capabilities and proficiency of assigned sUAS operators in the RCM

  • Collaborate extensively with RCM leadership, task leadership, and MAREURFORAF to facilitate effective coordination for successful execution of all phases of the training and exercise cycles, including planning, preparation and setup, execution, and recovery.

  • Conduct initial assessments and gap analysis of Tunisian RCM’s sUAS capabilities and capacity to enable training and future requirements.

  • Assess, refine, and recommend certification of doctrine and develop training materials that train students on current curriculum, individual and collective training tasks that support training objectives, and an updated POI for the RCM’s sUAS operator training course.

  • Develop tailored SOPs for training execution and scheduling, including a detailed training plan/schedule.

  • Facilitate and lead hotwashes and AARs that provide feedback on how the training objectives were met.

  • At the conclusion of training, facilitate and lead AARs to identify any lessons learned and corrective actions needed and to continuously refine the training materials.

  • Deploy to outstations in Tunisia to conduct training activities consistent with Tunisian RCM’s training objectives.

  • Coordinates with host nation airspace controllers.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years active-duty experience as an NCO/Officer in a Special Operations unit (MARSOC, Force Recon, SEAL, Special Forces Group, 75th Ranger Regiment) with additional experience and subject matter expertise in sUAS tactics, techniques, and procedures.

  • Prior experience working with Partner Nations through the execution of Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET), or service component equivalent.

  • Direct experience with the development of sUAS Programs of Instruction and sUAS curriculum development.

  • Active SECRET Clearance

  • Prior experience with sUAS systems, programs, or policies

  • Adept and well versed in the principles of sUAS/cUAS system employment.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience working in Africa or at AFRICOM or at one of its Service Components

  • Prior small sUAS pilot experience OCONUS supporting Partner Nation forces

  • sUAS pilot certification (civilian or military) such as FAA Part 107

  • sUAS tactical employment experience in support of SOF while deployed to a theatre of operations in one of the Combatant Commands

  • French Speaker

  • The AFRICOM Operations, Plans and Training Support (AOPTS) Program is a Cost-plus-Award Fee Task Order with a Base plus Five Option Years. It was awarded 29 January 2020 under the One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) – Pool One Contract. The period of performance ends 28 January 2026.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$74,600-$156,700
