Role Purpose
Corning Emerging Business Development is looking for a qualified individual to join Automotive Glass Solutions Business.
This position will be responsible for Customer Service related activity to meet business objectives and to support customers in China, Korea and other Asian Region/countries:
Responsible for order management and logistics process (including sample requests)
Develop knowledge of assigned customers, manage customer changes, and be able to anticipate future customer requirements.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with external customers as well as with internal teams (i.e. Sales / Account Manager, Customer Project Engineer, etc.)
Take ownership for your customer’s satisfaction.
Resolve day-to-day problems with customers with appropriate communication.
Implementation of process, policy, systems, and reporting as developed to support the needs to the business.
Work closely with internal departments like production, sales, CPE, product line management, quality, finance, and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Process customer PO
Receive PO and confirm its completion and correctness
Load PO into system and trigger internal process
Work with cross function Corning team to confirm the expected shipment date and feedback to customer
Manage order changes
Monitor the order progress
Manage RMA process including credit and/or replacement order
Coordinate shipment
Confirm exact shipment date between customer and corning team
Prepare all necessary shipment documents (Corning and Customer)
Confirm packing condition
Coordination of logistics for shipments
Record and resolve shipment issue as needed
Required Skills
Strong customer service experience with good understanding of logistics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Chinese is must; Korean language skill not ‘must’, but nice to have;
Good cross functional team communication skill, team player
Strong problem-solving skills, and independent execution skills
Quick learner with clear and logical thinking, effective priority skills
Ability to build and execute Excel spreadsheets
Ability to function and thrive in a global team environment with an appreciation of aggressive goals
Flexible, service-oriented with proactive attitude
Stable, reliable, flexible
Experiences/Education
Bachelor’s degree (with 2-3 year experience) in related fields
Experience in automotive business is a plus
Desired Skills
SAP experience
Strong knowledge of commercial transaction processes
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
Demonstrates effective organizational skills
Results oriented / accomplishment driven
