American Contracting and Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Specialist for its location at 6200 E. Highway 62, Bldg 2503, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. The Senior Project Specialist will be responsible for coordinating schedules, timelines, procurement, staffing, and budgets for bridge rehabilitation projects in different states (KY, IN, MI, NC, SC, AR, FL, LA, AL, GA and OK). Responsible for assigning duties to project personnel; communicating with stakeholders on project requirements; identifying and recommending project needs including resources, staff and finances; identifying vendors and subcontractors to meet project needs; monitoring costs to identify budget issues and ensuring costs remain in compliance; monitoring project milestones and deliverables; monitoring performance of team and providing performance feedback; negotiating with suppliers to obtain materials; propose, review, and approve modifications to project plans; and reviewing project updates to ensure adherence to deadlines. Candidates must have a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field and three years of related experience. Required experience must include three years of experience in the following areas: bridge and highway construction, working with the Department of Transportation, AutoCAD, MS Office, and VBA programming. Approximately 75% travel domestically to unanticipated worksites within the states of Kentucky Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma.
