Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MS&T) is the global Process & Technical capability within Global Consumer Health, providing integrated technical leadership for the Base Business Operations, Global Product & Technology Strategies and Product Life Cycle Initiatives. MS&T drives Customer Value through end-to-end Technical Ownership of Product, Process and Equipment and Executional Excellence. As the technical backbone of the Consumer Health Organization, MS&T is organized with Centre led Global CoEs and Regional Execution teams. Global CoE SMEs are responsible for building capabilities, innovation, standardization & simplification, while Regional MS&T Teams are organized as Franchise Cluster Teams, responsible for excellent execution.
What You Will Do
The Solids Platform SME provides strategic and technical leadership to the Solids Manufacturing Plant Network within Consumer Health with a continuous focus on new and better fit for purpose technology solutions adapted to the new business needs (e.g. agility, higher speed to market, support A&D and network strategic initiatives).
Key Responsibilities
Oversee technology-oriented developments and integration of new technologies, equipment, systems, as well as data application/analysis for optimized performance
Directly support activities and projects to introduce new technologies, requiring a wide variety of technical skills
Ensure consistency in deployment of standard solutions through strong collaboration and dissemination of knowledge across MS&T Franchise organizations in the Regions, promoting and empowering strategic direction and support across all internal & external manufacturing sites
Provide leadership to a small team of SMEs, builds the capability of the expert network, leveraging state of the art knowledge and development in the field
Serve as a leading industry expert with a broad network of industry relationships (vendors, technical institutes, academia)
Works closely with various internal and external stakeholders
Ensures that technology roadmap is created for the Technology Platform.
Works with MS&T and Make Leaders to develop long range capacity and financial plans.
Ensures that Technology Platform Team develops projects with future-proof business propositions and creates equipment/process standards.
Ensures Technology Platform Team is properly resourced and has robust deployment/training plans.
Leads Solids global programs.
Drives innovation in Solids strategy, technology and sustainability in collaboration with key stakeholders
Creates and supports execution of a portfolio of strategic engineering projects; including CIP, Capacity Increase, Quality and Compliance
Supports Regional, Franchise and Site Master Plan development and consistency with Global Standards.

Qualifications
Has a strong Solids Technology background, proven track record and an ability to create strong relationships with diverse functions.
Possesses the ability to build consensus and impact outcomes without line authority and able to negotiate decisions across multiple organizations.
Bifocal approach - ability to zoom-in/zoom-out for strategic and tactical, high-level and detailed is required.
Good communication skills, proven leadership experience and able to inspire trust and quickly build credibility with executive management.
Has the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and influence decision making across a matrix organization
Possesses a strong owner mindset and a daring spirit
