Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Janesville, Wisconsin
Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based in JANESVILLE, Wisconsin, United States. This role is within the Retail industry and offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be tasked with various responsibilities related to the management of incoming invoices and vendor accounts, and the improvement of processes.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently handle the receipt and distribution of incoming invoices and associated documents.
• Prepare and process invoices for allocated vendors.
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in the accounts payable process.
• Regularly review and reconcile vendor accounts by evaluating monthly statements.
• Contribute to process enhancement initiatives within the department.
• Cross-train as necessary to ensure smooth operations within the team.
• Implement skills such as Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Runs, Coding Invoices, Data Entry, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform duties effectively. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role within the Retail industry.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP), specifically in managing and organizing financial obligations.
• Expertise in executing Check Runs, guaranteeing all payments are processed in a timely manner.
• Skill in Coding Invoices, ensuring all charges are correctly assigned to the right accounts.
• Proficient in Data Entry, enabling accurate and efficient input of financial information.
• Experience in Invoice Processing, assuring all invoices are correctly logged and paid.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use advanced functions for financial tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of Oracle, and the ability to navigate and use its financial management features.
• Experience in using QuickBooks for financial management, including but not limited to bookkeeping and invoicing.
• Familiarity with SAP and its financial management modules, with the ability to effectively use its features for accounts payable processes.
