We have an immediate opening for a Facilities Project Coordinator at our aerospace facility in Jacksonville, FLA . The project coordinator will assist the Facilities Manager in the execution of the Facilities Transformation Plan. The coordinator will work with contractors and on site personnel to schedule work, update project status reports, and ensure projects are completed on time and under budget.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary

  • Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions

  • Plan and manage team goals, project schedules and new information

  • Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track

  • Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored

  • Direct project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails

  • Communicate with team members to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives

  • Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measure

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:

  • HS Diploma/GED with 4 years of experience OR> AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience. Must have maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment

  • Must have 3-5 years Coordinator or Supervisory experience

  • Must be able to perform planned/preventative maintenance

  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Skills:

  • Must have various types of pump overhaul and repair experience

  • Hands on electrical experience

  • Aerospace industry.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.

  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.

  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.

  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM

  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
