Actalent Civil Project Manager in Jacksonville, Florida

Supervises on-site Project Superintendents and Project Engineers. Prepares all notification documents regarding power, water, and fire utilities. Responsible for the technique, economic, and operations plan. Negotiates with the client and participates in the estimating process. Optimizes the operations means and methods with the Project Engineers. Controls the progress of the operation to meet the objectives. Determines the suppliers and the subcontractors in tandem with the Division Manager and the Contracts Department. Develops project schedule, prepares and assists in weekly project update meetings, and participates in the division weekly meetings. Ensures project quality and respects commitments with the client. Reviews and approves all change order requests, completes project budget, controls project expenses, and is responsible for budget and billing control. Approves invoices, prepares the final quantities report, and is responsible for accuracy of CPSR projections. Actively participates in the training of all Construction Engineers and in recruiting candidates. Responsible for Performance Evaluations for all employees assigned to the project. Recommends and proposes technical solutions (innovative products and processes). Maintains professional relationship with client(s) and participates at the final acceptance of the project. Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures and maintains safety on the project at all times.
Hard Skills
10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
10+ years of experience as a Project Manager
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering degree
Experience overseeing 10-15 people for self-perform and 4-5 major subcontractors
Experience with DOT (preferred)
