Robert Half Staff Accountant in Irving, Texas
Description We are offering a contract for a Staff Accountant position in Irving, Texas. Our company, operating in the Hi Tech Engineering industry, is looking for an individual proficient in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
• Keep precise credit records for all customers
• Address customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts for necessary action
• Handle daily processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and maintain communication with vendors
• Manage and maintain filing statements
• Follow-up on outstanding Accounts Receivable (AR) balances, communicate with clients about payments, and conduct research to reconcile AR accounts
• Invoice customers and apply payments as necessary
• Generate ad hoc reports when required
• Utilize Excel, QuickBooks, and other software for finance and accounting tasks. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably in the Hi Tech Engineering industry.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Demonstrated ability to handle Bank Reconciliations accurately.
• Familiarity with General Ledger management and maintenance.
• Experience with Journal Entries preparation and posting.
• Expertise in Month End Close procedures.
• Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software is a plus.
• Proficiency in Oracle financial software is desirable.
• Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP financial software is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
