Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join a large retail client headquartered in Irving, TX. As a Full Stack Developer, you will lead the design and development of robust and scalable APIs using Java and Spring Boot, while simultaneously integrating them seamlessly with cloud platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create powerful and efficient API solutions that harness the capabilities of both Java technologies & cloud services. The ideal candidate should possess a strong hands on background within front-end design & back end development. The ideal resource would come from a retail / e-commerce background supporting client facing application(s). This developer will be responsible for the design and development of Retail Technology Platforms supporting e-Commerce & other business functions. This resource should expect to spend roughly 50% of their time designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining and improving software. The other 50% will be spent improving system quality through identifying issues, common patterns, and developing SOPs. Enhancing applications through identifying areas of improvement, making any recommendations & designing & implementing those systems. Maintaining and improving existing codebases & peer review code changes. Work with teams to implement technical designs & investigating new technologies where relevant. Additionally, as a Sr. Backend Developer, you will be held responsible for mentoring junior developers & providing technical support & guidance where needed. Finally, you will be responsible for conducting code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards. This resource will be sitting on-site in Irving, TX Monday-Wednesday with the opportunity to work remote Thursday & Friday.

Skills and Requirements

7-10 years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer

Advanced experience in Java, Python, or other major programming languages

Extensive Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks

Extensive Hands-on experience with ReactJS, NextJS, Angular

 2-3 years of experience with React Native

Experience with Redux, JSX, CSS, HTML5 on the front-end

Experience with code version control systems like GIT

Experience integrating APIs with Google Cloud, leveraging cloud-native services and technologies

Hands on SQL and NoSQL experience

Experience with GCP& stack

Experience with Kafka for message-based architectures

Strong knowledge on Docker, Kubernetes platform and container

lifecycle management

Previous experience building, testing, and shipping enterprise applications at scale

Working knowledge on best testing practices using Junit, Mockito or similar

Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, or related field of study * Retail or e-Commerce experience
