Sharp Electronics Corporation Marketing Associate Intern in Irvine, California

Overview

Reporting to marketing, this role requires abilities to help in multiple areas, including advertising, PR, content creation, marketing communications, program marketing/management, sales incentive program creation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist will all aspects of Dynabook’s marketing department, including PR, Social Media, Advertising, Web site, Partner Funding & Tradeshow

  • Support sales team’s marketing requests

  • Gain understanding of Dynabook's partner funding programs and assist in the implementation and fulfillment of program requirements

  • Coordinate organization’s trade show and conferences activities and calendar, supply branding assets and demo equipment

  • Identify and develop database of new tradeshow and conferences in the following markets – EDU, GOVERNMENT & HEALTHCARE

  • Monitor campaign results and evaluate organization' advertising and social media strategies.

  • Assist with management of organization's social media calendar; interact and respond with Dynabook's social communities’ comments

  • Manage organization's demo product inventory and distribution

  • Serve as a liaison with organization's marketing agencies on advertising, public relations and social media activities

  • Assist in the development of corporate and product messaging

  • Assist with the management and implementation of organization’s brand guidelines with internal and external audiences

  • Develop growth and traffic reports for organization’s web site, social media channels and reseller program

  • Experience with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

Willingness to learn and develop the following skills:

  • Experience in B2B marketing and lead generation.

  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.

  • Proven marketing campaign experience.

  • Strong copywriting skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

  • Knowledge of personal computer category.

  • Self-starter with superior time management, detail orientation and organization skills.

  • Mastery of Microsoft applications especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Compensation: The hourly rate is $17/hr.

  • Summer internship duration: Summer internship program spans approximately 3 months, running from July through the end of September.

  • Full Year internship duration : If interested in a full year, it requires a commitment of a minimum of 20 hours a week in our Irvine, CA office with flexibility to work from home as needed, given academic responsibilities throughout the year. During the summer months, more hours (up to 35) will be available to work.

  • Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position, with flexibility on schedule of onsite instruction. Preferably, this would require interns to be in the office in Irvine, CA, 3-4 days a week (Monday to Thursday), with Fridays designated for remote work at the manager's discretion.

  • Transportation :Interns must have reliable transportation.

  • Housing: We do not provide housing or a housing stipend for interns.

  • Work Visa: Unfortunately, we do not offer work visa sponsorship for this role, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
