Grayson & Co Jewelers Sales and Customer Service Associate in Iron Mountain, Michigan

The Fine Jewelry Associate is responsible for providing friendly customer service, demonstrating product knowledge to customers and creating a shopping experience that will make the customer feel welcome and comfortable. We're looking for a bright, enthusiastic, and performance-driven person. Additionally, the fine Jewelry Sales Associate is responsible for learning the product as well as developing and impacting the sales of the business. Performs other duties as assigned.

Hours: Part-full time position with a 12 - 25 hours/week. Two to three days per week, very flexible hours.

Essential Functions:

  • Generate sales to exceed personal sales goals
  • A team player who enjoys working closely with fellow associates
  • Overcome customer objections and close additional sales
  • Assist customers in all aspects of service fulfillment
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to each and every guest
  • Use the clientele program to maintain customer profile and contact information to increase personal sales
  • Ensure proper presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock
  • Develop selling skills
  • Regular cleaning and upkeep of the sales floor
  • Maintain security policies
  • Lead annual inventory process

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma, some college preferred

Experience: 1-3 Years of Selling Experience is required, Retail Sales.

Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, & interpret product knowledge books. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management.

Mathematical Skills: Basic math functions, able to use a calculator to calculate percentages and ratios.

Computer skills: Ability to use the computer proficiently. Proficient in Word, Excel, and point-of-sale programs. Experience with social media.

Other Skills: Superior organizational and time management skills. Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to build relationships and influence others. Must possess a thirst for knowledge. Marketing and promotion background. Demonstrate prioritization skills and decisiveness; maintain sense of urgency, problem solve. Must be able to keep busy during slow times.

Availability: Flexible work schedule, including mornings & evenings, weekends, and busy events such as the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, the day after Christmas, and special big event days, based on store needs.

Expected hours: 12 -- 25 per week
