Summary

CHS, Inc. is seeking a Retail Digital Ag Leader to design and implement a future state strategy for a portfolio of enabling technologies and services focused on delivering and driving customer value in partnership with our retail agronomy, grain, energy and animal nutrition go-to-market organization. The individual will support and deliver ag-tech solutions and the related enabling services designed to help customers optimize their businesses and maximize the value they derive from their product and service transactions with CHS.

The ideal candidate earns trust through servant leadership, performance and relationship building, thinks strategically about customer challenges and opportunities and has experience in digital agriculture and/or farm & ranch business planning tools and best practices. Also, the ideal candidate should have a strong record of delivering results in a timely and effective manner, along with building and managing an effective, collaborative team that can fluently operate in a matrix organization. Strong judgment, the ability to manage ambiguity and complexity and a demonstrated ability to influence without explicit authority are crucial to success.

This position will be hybrid out of our global corporate headquarters in Inver Grove Heights, MN.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial responsibility, including pricing, promotion and technology portfolio management for current and future digital, farm/ranch business planning, strategy, and business management-related services. This includes our YieldPoint precision agriculture and Agellum farm planning suite of products and services and any future customer success-related products and services.

  • Responsible for designing, implementing and owning a local, regional, and national strategy in partnership with go-to-market leadership focused on providing scalable solutions to address current and future customer needs.

  • Support customers to achieve their business goals by helping customers optimize the value they derive from their agronomy, energy and grain product and service transactions with CHS, ultimately increasing customer acquisition and retention rates.

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team

  • Lead, manage and measure team workflow and resources to achieve high team performance and exceptional service standards

  • Lead by influencing others not directly in the customer service organization through Influential leadership, leveraging a matrix environment and working cross-functionally.

  • Work closely with the legal, compliance, and internal controls teams to ensure that policies and procedures comply with applicable statutes, regulations, and CHS company policy

  • Develop and document detailed customer inquiry escalation paths, processes and solutions with cross-functional stakeholders to mitigate customer issues

  • Oversee the development, integration and effective use of technology and tools in customer service operations

  • Ensure customer-focused initiatives/processes are beneficial for both the customer and CHS

  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 7+ years of experience in ag technology, customer and/or key account management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in related program

  • Strong understanding of farming practices, technologies, and equipment

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
