Job Summary:
Belcan is seeking a Product Support Maintenance Engineer to support one of our key aerospace manufacturing clients. This is a remote role, with a preference for candidates who can provide onsite support at a Belcan office to enhance team collaboration.
In this role, you will be a key team member responsible for projects related to airframe inspection criteria and generating inspection documentation. Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of Maintenance Steering Group 3 (MSG-3) contractual requirements and experience with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate within a team of Maintenance Engineers to execute MSG-3 analysis for Structures, Systems, and Zonal Analysis.
Analyze complex engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance and repair requirements, procedures, and instructions.
Influence product definition, design, and configuration to ensure optimal maintainability.
Evaluate engineering changes based on customer requirements, propose program changes, and oversee implementation.
Analyze maintenance and operational data to develop and support flight operation and maintenance equipment requirements.
Define, evaluate, and maintain engineering supportability, maintainability, and operability requirements for aerospace products and systems.
Participate in or lead virtual working group meetings to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering/Technology).
Familiarity with the concepts of MSG-3 contractual requirements or equivalent airframe maintenance experience.
1 to 2 years of experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
1 to 2 years of experience in understanding technical manuals such as:
o Commercial Maintenance Manuals
o Military Technical Orders
o Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC)
o Aircraft Maintenance Manuals
Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
3 to 5 years' industry experience in aerospace maintenance or product support.
Hands-on experience with commercial and military aircraft systems and modifications.
Experience using and applying military and commercial maintenance publications, including:
o Instructions for Continued Airworthiness
o Overhaul Manuals
o Technical Orders
o Wiring Diagrams
o Parts Illustrated Manuals
