Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment in a high-speed food manufacturing facility. This includes working with motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery. You will troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues up to 480 3-phase motors and handle all PMs at the facility.
Responsibilities
Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring, and testing instruments for repairs and maintenance.
Disassemble devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and appropriate tools.
Inspect used parts to determine dimensional changes using rules, calipers, and micrometers.
Adjust functional parts and control instruments with hand tools, levels, and straightedges.
Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
Install special functional and structural parts in devices using hand tools.
Test device performance after repair.
Lubricate and clean parts regularly.
Operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to create or repair parts as needed.
Request supplies, materials, tools, machine parts, and other necessary equipment.
Repair electrical equipment as required.
Ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools and equipment.
Perform bearing analysis and installation.
Analyze electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings; install, repair, calibrate, service, or replace electrical devices and systems to prevent overload using an amp probe, recording meter, and various tools.
Weld various types of metal for repair or fabrication using tools like cutting torch, arc and gas welder, grinders, and more.
Perform preventive maintenance on uninterrupted power supply systems, generators, and air compressors to ensure reliability and continuous operation using appropriate tools.
Respond to 24-hour emergency calls for repairs during off-duty hours if necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues up to 480 3-phase motors.
Experience with conveyors and pneumatics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous safety training.
Experience with hydraulics, preventive maintenance, schematics, PLC troubleshooting, industrial maintenance, control systems, high voltage, low voltage, maintenance mechanics, vacuum systems.
Prior GMP experience.
High-speed packaging equipment experience.

Work Environment
This position involves working in a high-speed food manufacturing facility that operates 24/7. Shifts are 8 hours long, with openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The work environment includes exposure to temperature extremes, ingredients, sugar dust, refrigerants, and chemicals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $93600.00/yr.
