POSITION PURPOSE
Provides support and assistance to the engineers in performing their responsibilities to include, but not limited to, researching and collecting data, creating reports and documents to support the overall function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Provides support and assistance to the engineers in performing their responsibilities to include, but not limited to, researching and collecting data and creating reports and documents to support the overall function.
Collects data and generates technical reports, as assigned. Updates and revises data within the supplemental manual sets from collected data.
Assist in the development of process improvement, cost estimates and design plans.
Acts as a liaison with internal and external customers to implement manual changes and updates.
Ensures configuration control to include engineering documents for new aircraft delivery, configuration and standardization.
Assists in developing engineering data to accomplish modifications in response to ADs, SBs, Service Information Letters (SILs), etc.
Responds to engineering requests in a timely manner.
Interacts with applicable departments to define, maintain, and optimize the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program.
Analyzes and determines disposition all reliability issues and improvements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Specialty training beyond high school in aviation technology or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 3 years of Line or Heavy Aircraft Maintenance experience with demonstrated working knowledge in 14 CFR Parts 121, 145, and 25 within an Engineering or Technical Service department.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
PREFEREED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) in Engineering or Maintenance with Aviation/ Aerospace or related technical field. Training in Six Sigma or Lean processes.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
DECISION MAKING
Makes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies. Impact of decisions is moderately low.

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.
Able to lift or move up to 10 pounds occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

May be required to work in open airplane hangars up to 10% of the time.
Able to work weekends, holidays, night shift, and overtime, as required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight stays.
