Description Robert Half is in the process of hiring an Accounting Clerk for one of their clients. The responsibilities of this position includes matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area.
Key responsibilities
Manually or electronically post financial information
Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed
Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources
Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects
Support accounts payable by filing vendor invoice and disbursements and by matching & filing A/P invoices
Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts
Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances Requirements - Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
Escrow experience
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Expertise in Property Management Accounting
Solid understanding of Property Management
