Hyatt Banquet Set Up - (Casual Schedule/On Call) in INDIAN WELLS, California

Description:

The Banquet Set-Up (Houseperson) is provided a daily report of banquet functions, which defines the organization being served, the meeting room, time frames, and the required set-up. The Banquet Set-Up reviews the daily throughout the day, to ensure proper set-up, and make adjustments as required.

DESCRIPTION OF CORE TASKS

1) Room set-up and takedown – Involves setting up room, per customer and banquet manager request; taking down a current set-up to prepare for the next meeting, and then resetting as specified. This activity involves a combination of standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, and handling.

2) Room refreshes – Involves visually scanning a room to determine if water, beverages, or food need to be replenished. This task involves a combination of standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, and handling.

The description above are core tasks and the Banquet Set-up may be assigned other responsibilities by Banquet Manager.

The hourly pay-rate for this position is $16.00 with opportunity to earn additional income through tip-pool.

Qualifications:

Must have a friendly attitude and wiling to exceed guest expectations.

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying hot/cold weather climates.

Available to work flexible schedules including afternoon, weekends, and holidays.

Good physical stamina to stand and walk long distances throughout shift.

Good physical strength to lift, push, and pull moderate weight.
