Position Title: Manager of Mortgage Processing Business Unit: Mortgage Administration Reports To: Manager of Mortgage Operations Position Overview: This position is primarily responsible for supervising Mortgage Loan Processors and Processing Support Staff, promoting timely and courteous service and overseeing compliance with policies and procedures. The incumbent provides direction and motivation to the staff to facilitate a smooth loan transaction experience for the customer. Primary Responsibilities: Supervises the daily activities of the Mortgage Loan Processors in all Processing Centers. Manages all HR issues including annual reviews, hiring of new personnel and recommending corrective action plans. Provides ongoing training, coaching and mentoring to staff on a regular basis. Holds meetings with staff to communicate any changes or issues on a regular basis. Responsible for organizing and maintaining Pipeline review calls with Regional Sales Managers and Processing, Closing and Underwriting Supervisors. Monitors pipeline conversion and disposition rates in order to forecast and adjust workflows. Communicates with Regionals' next actions and trouble shoots issues. Works with Manager of Mortgage Operations to assist in the development of new managers and supervisors in order to maintain consistent execution in work flows and performance management. Ensures loan quality by investor, quality control and compliance standards. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the Loan Origination system as well as all related systems and identifies and implements changes to worksheets and work flows within the system. Monitors doc prep system for the processing documents utilized by the staff. Identifies required procedural revisions or suggested policy changes as required by defect findings, compliance and guideline updates, system changes or enhancements. Communicates changes to staff and ensures global changes are disseminated through change management protocols. Provides training and writes procedures as well as escalates policy suggestions. Provides direction to staff regarding problem resolution and effective communication with the Mortgage Loan Originators and loan applicants. Assists processing staff in resolving issues that are identified throughout the loan processing cycle. Monitors communication to both internal contacts and applicants on an ongoing basis. Observes and works with staff to improve performance. Monitors staff's productivity levels, turnaround time and loan quality error rating according to the goals set by management and communicates the results to staff in a timely manner. Recommends staffing adjustments to direct supervisor based on volume. Reviews preliminary incentive calculations and provide adjustments as necessary. Maintains a thorough knowledge of FNB Portfolio, GSE, Agency, Secondary Market Investors and regulatory compliance requirements relative to loan processing. Attends educational and informational sessions as available to maintain knowledge and understanding of said requirements as they become available. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
