Northwest Bank APPLICATION SYSTEMS SENIOR ANALYST in Independence, Ohio
Description Senior Application Systems Analyst provides analytical, tier 2/3 technical support for business applications, mentors and coaches junior team members; creates and maintains documentation relative to application support and implementation, maintains application reliability by working to identify systemic issues through root cause analysis. Essential Functions * Independently support, install, troubleshoot, maintain, and manage applications * Independently gather, analyze, and document the business requirements in IT projects aiming at creating new solutions in complex IT landscape * Independently test, implement, document, and support assigned core banking solutions * Represent Information Systems with Fiserv Signature functional and technical capabilities in line of business meetings and projects * Independently interact with Fiserv to solve problems and implement projects * Create of post-implementation and deployment documentation for operations and internal customers * Mange project plans and associated tasks as well as complete individual tasks related to project plans * Drive resolution of issues through problem solving, identification of necessary resources, and escalation * Triage support incidents and escalate high priority events to the appropriate groups * Create and maintain architecture diagrams, design diagrams, and data flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio or other equivalent tools * Facilitate and drive sessions with internal customers to assess business needs and works with a team to find solutions * Support ETL solutions using SQL Query and other languages/tools * Create and maintain application documentation * Analyze and improve the efficiency of various systems and services * Map data from one core system to another support conversion related activities * Work closely with tier 1 technical support teams and works as part of the tier 2/3 support team to ensure team is meeting the business' expectations * Mentor application support analysts and business partners Additional Essential Functions * Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations * Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency * Work as part of a team * Work with on-site equipment Additional Responsibilities * Contribute to all aspects of a project from beginning to end * Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC) activities as required * Build and maintain a knowledge base to ensure that knowledge transfer takes place within the team * Learn to coordinate installation of new software, document and test custom changes * Help to define, record, and execute application disaster recovery plans and procedures Safety and Health for those without supervisory duties * Abide by the rules of the safety and loss prevention program * Perform work tasks in a safe manner * Report any and all injuries to supervisor * Know what to do in case of an emergency QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology (Software development track) or Engineering with a programming concentration AND at least 3 years' relevant work experience X Or Associate's Degree With at least 6 year's work experience X Or High School Diploma With at least 8 years' work experience X Work Experience Experience with automated testing 3 - 5 years Analytical experience with a financial institution 3 - 5 years E
