Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer on Windows Shell AI Team , you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge software solutions with latest technologies including but not limited to Multi Modal language models. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to AI intense projects, and provide leadership in the development of AI-powered features for Windows. Software Development Projects :
Work on software development initiatives related to AI and machine learning within the Windows ecosystem.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
Producing, Testing, and Debugging Code :
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C++.
Passionate about developing and delivering high-quality software.
Technical Leadership :
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Mentorship and knowledge sharing to foster growth within the team.
Staying Current with Technology Trends :
Keep abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and Windows development.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience
Experience : Proven track record of working on complex projects and delivering successful software solutions
Technical Expertise :
C++: Proficiency in C++ programming language.
Machine Learning (ML): Strong understanding of ML concepts, algorithms, and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Familiarity with LLMs and Multi Modal language models
Familiarity with Windows development
Problem-Solving Skills :
Ability to analyze requirements, design robust architectures, and write efficient code.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Agile Methodologies :
Experience working in an agile development environment
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
