Job Title:Systems Engineer FLSA:Exempt Clearance:Required Location:Huntsville, AL Job Type:Full time

NTA, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in component level development, integration, testing, and support for the U.S. Army.Duties will focus on providing systems engineering support for the STORM Project Office in the Engineering Directorate Software Division. Specific tasks include requirements verification and validation, participation in technical meetings, data analysis, creating and presenting technical reports, and providing both on and off-site support for test events.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline from an ABET accredited institution
  • Engineering experience

Required:

  • Knowledge and understanding of system engineering principles and processes
  • Experience or working knowledge with requirements and cost analysis, decomposition, and verification and validation
  • Ability to create and evaluate test procedures, technical documentation, processes, and procedures as well as presenting results with supporting data
  • Data analysis experience to support verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities
  • Ability to effectively communicate weekly updates to the customer with both verbal and written communication including reports and charts
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus among peers, leaders, and customers
  • Organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Travel as required (up to 15%)
  • The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

Desired:

  • U.S. Army Project Office experience
  • Experience with the U.S. Armys material acquisition process and test and safety regulations
  • Experience with the U.S. Armys Field Artillery Launchers and related munitions
  • Experience evaluating software through the full software development life cycle
  • Knowledge of computer and computer operating systems architectures
  • Knowledge of networking technologies
  • Experience with software development
  • Experience with IBM Doors
  • Defense Acquisition Certifications

Applicant must have a current security clearance or be able to obtain a security clearance through a government security investigation. U.S. Citizenship is required.
