Position Description:
Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company supporting the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO), is searching for a talented mid to senior modeling and simulation engineer to join our development team. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent people skills to work with our team and customers to design, implement, and test HEL system performance through simulation and software analysis. The candidate will provide support to requirements definition, analytical simulation of systems hardware and functions, performance prediction, and data analysis using C++, Java, Python, and MATLAB algorithm development.
Required Skills:
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
Demonstrated programming experience in a professional environment
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis of complex systems
Proven professional software development experience of 4 or more years, ideally in software development, modeling, simulation, analysis, or systems integration.
Experience with multiple programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or MATLAB
Ability to lead and work well with other team members and stakeholders involved in the project
Desired Qualifications:
Proven ability to perform detailed modeling, simulation, and mission analysis.
Experience in the development of algorithms for emulation of complex hardware components.
Support model and analysis tool software development, perform data acquisition, and conduct detailed analysis.
Experience with modeling of test activates prior to execution utilizing trajectory/flight path engagement scenario in 2D and 3D.
Experience with HEL Modeling tools, AFSIM, and SIMDIS Visualization.
Experience with High Energy Laser (HEL) interactions focusing on temperature dependent properties and HEL specific features.
Ability to interpret Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal analysis of HEL interaction with tools such as LightSAber.
Experience in a full software development lifecycle, from planning, use case and requirements definition, to coding and implementation, unit and regression test development, to managing deployment of sophisticated software / hardware systems, and the maintenance of those systems
Experience with multiple operating systems such as Windows or Linux
Experience working with various databases including relational, non-relational, and other formats
Experience with analysis and aggregation of large data sets from multiple, different sources
Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
