Leidos Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented Manual Machinist to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will need to have experience with manual mills, lathes, vertical and horizontal band saws and common power tools.
Primary Responsibilities
The Machinistmust be capable of reading engineering drawings to produce unique precision parts.
Experience in the manufacturing of complex components from steel, stainless steel and aluminum. ​
Mechanical assembly experience is a plus.
This role will work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates must possess a High School diploma/GED with at least 5yearsof machining experience on manual mills and lathes
Candidates must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.
Candidate must be able to work overtime when required.
Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 4-days per week 10-hours per shift, 1st shift.
Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience machining in a prototype environment.
Experience with Mechanical assembly

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
