Job Description Summary

Responsible for assisting with planning, organizing, integrating, managing and evaluating the day-to-day activities of the Credit Unions Lending Services Department. Oversees and directs the Collateral Protection Program, credit bureau reporting function for the Credit Union, collateral title perfection and releases, and administration of the Guaranteed Asset Protection and Mechanical Breakdown programs. Oversees and directs planning and implementation of strategic plans. Ensures projects are designed and implemented efficiently and effectively. Directs departmental business continuity planning to minimize risk.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, organizes, evaluates, and manages the work of staff within the department; utilizes resources effectively; implements plans, programs, and work processes and procedures necessary to achieve designated results; coordinates and integrates functions within the department and across the Credit Union.

``` - Participates in establishing business and operational initiatives to meet Credit Union goals and objectives.

``` - Provides leadership and works with staff to develop and retain highly competent, member service-oriented staff through training and day-to-day management practices that support the Credit Unions mission and strategic goals.

``` - Establishes performance requirements and objectives for staff; monitors and evaluates their performance; provides coaching and development opportunities; finds ways to recognize performance; addresses performance deficiencies and takes disciplinary action, if warranted, in accordance with Credit Unions policies and procedures.

``` - Directs and assists the department staff with a wide variety of member inquiries, providing resolution for member problems and complaints. Meets with members directly regarding questions, concerns, or problems as necessary.

``` - Manages the Title/UCC program and the related vendor relationships.

``` - Manages the Collateral Protection Insurance program for consumer and commercial loans and the related vendor relationships.

``` - Manages the Guaranteed Asset Protection and Mechanical Breakdown Protection programs along with the related vendor relationships.

``` - Monitors use of credit reporting software applications; ensures information transmitted to credit reporting agencies is accurate, complete and in compliance with all rules and regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

``` - Oversees the monthly reporting process to the four National Credit Reporting Agencies, for all RFCU.

``` - Ensures relevant testing of Core systems utilized by the department, including review of release documentation, testing, recommendation to load into production.

``` - Finds ways to continually improve the efficiency of departmental processes to provide the best service to our members.

``` - Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Credit Union policies and procedures.

``` - Develops teamwork and collaborative relationships within the Credit Union.

``` - Promotes the Credit Union by participating in community involvement and special events.

``` - Oversees both in-person and remote staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business or closely related field. - Required

Experience Requirement

  • 2 Years - Progressively responsible financial, consumer lending, or title experience. - Required
  • 1 Year - Management or supervisory experience - Preferred
