LA Testing Inc. is seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst - Lead (Pb) for its Huntington Beach, CA location. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees. Experienced analysts are welcomed to apply.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Preparation and analysis of environmental and industrial hygiene lead samples by Flame-AA (Flame Atomic Absorption)Methods to include EPA 7020, 7000, 3050, 3052, (Micro Wave digestion), NIOSH 7303/7300 7082 and miscellaneous OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, ASTM, methodsPreparation and digestion of environmental lead samples: paint, soil, wipes and cassettes by Flame-AA (Flame Atomic Absorption)Collect and compile data from tests to generate reports for clients according to our Quality Assurance/Quality Control and EDD standards as directedKnowledge of laboratory safety and maintaining proper quality control protocolsMaintain proper QC lab protocolsClerical duties including report generation and data entry of sample receipt.Maintain, clean and troubleshoot equipmentCross train in ICP, ICP-MS, Mercury, FIMS, as neededRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Biological SciencesMust have a desire to be trained and work in a laboratory settingPrevious experience with Flame-AA is a strong plusCandidate must be able to distinguish between colors in order to perform analysisAbility to work independently or with a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced setting, with multi-tasking skills, and prioritize assignmentsGood communication, computer, typing, and organizational skillsAvailable Shift:Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.For consideration, all candidates must apply through our company website: https://phf.tbe.taleo.net/phf02/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=EMSL&cws=45&rid=4277LA Testing offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account.
