    Our California division, located in Huntington Beach  seeks a Automation Technician.

    Summary

Precision Resource California is looking for a mechanically inclined Manufacturing Technician with a machining background to join the Engineering team. This position assists with the improvement of existing manufacturing processes through process changes and the use of automation. It also supports daily operations through setup and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • I ntegration of new machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process

  • Hands-on setup and troubleshooting of manufacturing and automation equipment

  • Design of fixtures for CNC machining and CMM inspection

  • Recommends and implements manufacturing improvements in method, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions, including, but not limited to the areas of CNC machining and automation.

  • Assist team leaders and team members in evaluating and implementing continuous improvement projects.

    Qualifications, Education, Experience 

  • Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics

  • Three years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Two years of manual machining experience

  • Two years working with CNC machining centers preferred

  • CNC Programming experience is a plus, preferably Mastercam

  • Experience working with 3D CAD Software, preferably SolidWorks, is a plus

  • Controls, Industrial Robotics and PLC programming understanding is valued
