TITLE: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, Orthopedic Implants (17-2141 Mechanical Engineers) (Huntingdon Valley, PA)
DUTIES:
• Design optimal processes for the manufacture of orthopedic implants per customer purchase order requirements, including primary and secondary operations.
• Research new industry methodologies to ensure the latest process technology is being applied in the fabrication of orthopedic implants and instruments.
• Mentor less experienced manufacturing engineering or manufacturing personnel.
• Implementation of and compliance with ARCH's Quality System.
• Create product and process specification and other internal documents.
• Practice effective project management including scheduling and conducting meetings with published minutes and action plans.
• Create engineering masters within ERP system.
• Create CNC programs and verify program prior to use.
• Set-up or participate in the set-up of machines.
• Develop and design fixtures and other part holding techniques.
• Prepare and/or review engineering change requests; develop and oversee preparation and implementation of all engineering change notices and document change control.
• Participate in pre-production meetings identifying drawing anomalies and suggesting design changes that will increase manufacturability.
REQUIREMENTS: Need Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering plus 2 years of experience in job offered performing manufacturing engineering of orthopedic implants. Need proof of legal authorization to work indefinitely in the U.S.
