Description

Our client is looking for an accountant within their manufacturing operations, your invaluable contribution will be in ensuring fiscal processes are efficient, accurate, and reliable.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the precision of accounts payable and payment methodology.

  • Create customer invoices for initial and final invoiced merchandise.

  • Conduct regular audits of accounts payable postings to confirm:

  • Appropriateness for each cost center and budget.

  • Suitability for each project and budget.

  • Establish weekly synchronization with Collection Administrative Assistant to formulate actions for overdue invoices exceeding 60 days.

  • Regularly assess monthly service contracts to maintain correct billing.

  • Update and examine the accrual GL and schedule.

  • Abide by airline activity reporting guidelines, confirming correct posting to respective cost centers or service orders.

  • Supervise daily cash book, posting necessary journal entries and reviewing customer short payments.

  • Reconciliation of daily bank activities, ensuring alignment between the general ledger cash account and the bank checking account.

  • Organize inventory reports and files for physical inventory checks.

  • Process inventory adjustments as revealed by daily cycle counts.

  • Secure assembly entries as necessary via a monthly review process.

  • Aid in audit procedures and provide relevant information to external auditors as stipulated.

  • Execute additional accounting duties as necessity dictates.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the accounting/finance field.

  • Superior communication capabilities adjusting to meet the needs of various organizational levels.

  • Demonstrates meticulousness with a focus on precision and integrity in financial reporting.

  • Effective in managing the organization and prioritizing tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on advanced Excel skills.

  • Prior mastery of ERP systems, with SAP familiarity preferred.

  • Project management experience is an additional bonus.
