Role and Team
- Reporting to the Body Shop Supervisor or Manager, operate collision repair equipment to repair damaged vehicles prior to painting.
Responsibilities
- Reviews repair plan R.O. as assigned
- Repairs vehicles per R.O. and in accordance with OEM standards
- Ensures correct parts are ordered/received as necessary
- Inspects for hidden or missed damage and provides notification if additional repairs/parts are necessary
- Disassembly of parts, accessories, and panels for proper access as necessary
- Repairs assigned body damage to include panels, bumpers, parts, and accessory items as necessary
- Uses proper equipment to remove dents to appropriate spec prior to next steps
- Applies Bondo per standards and shapes body lines and contours with precision
- Block and sand cured areas to meet standards
- Inspects repair areas for imperfections and addresses each as necessary
- Reassembles parts, and accessories if applicable
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health PPE
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in an automotive body shop required.
- iCAR certifications preferred
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
