Role summary:

The Field Service Team installs, commissions, troubleshoots and repairs Flowserve’s pumps and equipment for our customers in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, and waste water industries. This position requires a technical field service coordinator who can schedule and coordinate the day to day operations of the field service team as demanded by the clients and in line with the business processes.

Responsibilities:

People and Safety.

  • Actively support a positive SHEA culture to reduce lost time injuries and recordable accident frequency rate and maintain a safe hazard free work environment. Support the FST on the JSEA Completion, identify with them the potential hazards at site, and ensure these details are timely shared with the Onsite Services SHEA Manager.

Process and Technology.

  • Demand the Sales/Commercial Operations Team the timely update of all the opportunities on the pipeline thru Flowforce. Review with the FST Supervisor, the team availability and competencies to handle the product mix installed in the assigned region.

  • Complete Field Service Aftermarket Portal (AMP) scheduling actions as defined within field service process, to ensure that field service technicians are able to execute their work instructions. Coordinate with the FST Admin the timely submittal of all the relevant information (VISAs, Safety and Working Certificates, etc..) to our customers to ensure our FSTs can enter into the sites.

  • Provide work instructions to the field service technicians, to include all relevant job details, including drawings, bills of materials, historical reports and customer information. Make sure that all the information is properly loaded in AMP for proper tracking.

  • Review timesheets and reports for completeness and approve to enable administration function completion.

  • Being an expert in the field, conduct job walk down for critical jobs prior the start-up of the service. Together with the Field Service Supervisor, validate that the quotations prepared by the commercial are technically sound and aligned with customer expectations.

  • Direct interface with Subcontractors, vendors and any supplier working at site with our Field Service Technician for critical jobs.

  • Provide timely response to enquiries for information, and redirect questions as needed to the right resources.

Finance.

  • Support the FST Supervisor on preparing the financial and utilization forecast.

  • Provide necessary documentation to Sales and Administration to enable clients invoice to be raised. Support the job close cycle time, to ensure quick invoicing and collection of receivables as a contributor to the Primary Working Capital.

Expectations:

  • Experience in mechanical field service environment required

  • Knowledgeable of the process involved in the removal, repair, and installation and commissioning of pumps and their associated equipment desirable

  • Experience in the chemical, power, and/or oil and gas industries

  • Capability to schedule field technicians in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to develop and sustain a vision of technical excellence and customer service that is shared by the entire team

  • Possesses a collaborative style that encourages the free flow of communication, removes obstacles, and promotes problem solving and teamwork

  • Able to remain calm and even tempered in the face of challenges, demands, and deadlines

  • Communicate effectively and professionally both orally and in writing

  • Experience in project planning for complex jobs or events highly valued.

  • Capable in Outlook, Word and Excel and other IT systems/processes

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
