Robert Half Sr. Software Engineer (Full Stack) in Houston, Texas
Description We are on the lookout for a experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas. The selected candidate will be instrumental in developing enterprise applications and leading a team of developers. This role is particularly suited to those with a strong background in Python, Dash development, and UI development, along with a solid understanding of AWS and relational database concepts.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement enterprise applications.
• Lead a team of developers, guiding them towards successful project completion.
• Utilize strong Python and Dash development expertise in day-to-day tasks.
• Build and maintain robust UI for various applications.
• Leverage AWS tools such as RDS, Lambda, EC2, S3, VPC, SageMaker, ECR, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Athena, API Gateway, SQS, SNS for various tasks and projects.
• Work with SQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar, ensuring their optimal performance.
• Utilize modern data warehouse platforms like Snowflake, Databricks for data management and analysis.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Adhere to DevOps best practices and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles.
• Solve complex issues through analytical and critical thinking.
• Multitask effectively, maintaining a positive attitude and excellent organizational skills. Requirements • Proficiency in C++ programming language
• Experience with Database management and operations
• Knowledge of EO/IR systems
• Familiarity with GitHub for code versioning and collaborative development
• Practical understanding of Hibernate ORM for handling database operations
• Experience in AB Testing to optimize user experience and system performance
• Demonstrated skills in API Development for seamless data exchange and system integration
• Proficiency in ASP.NET for web application development
• Strong design skills for creating intuitive and user-friendly software interfaces
