Software Engineer - Houston, TX. Conduct research on current and emerging application development software products, design methods, languages, and standards. Implement different techniques learned on software system validation and testing identity during the research. Implement AWS Solutions using EC2, Amazon S3, ELB, Route53, and Auto Scaling groups. Work in all phases of the software development lifecycle from study, requirements, and design, development, implementation, maintenance, and software enhancements. Design, code, document, and test components/subsystems to the best possible standards using agile methodology. Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary and implement monitoring and alerting systems. Design and implement cloud infrastructure services to support rapid application deployment. Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement scalable software services and ensure necessary system security by using best in class cloud security solutions. Support different applications involving analysis, design, development, implementation, application integration, deployment, configuration, and administration of business integration. Responsible for the planning and growth of the AWS cloud infrastructure. Use Java/J2EE related technologies and Enterprise Bus, WebSphere Business Monitor Server, WebSphere Application Server, and WebSphere Integration Developer. Install, configure, and maintain WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment base versions 6.x/7.x/8.x/8.5 on AIX, Linux, and Windows 2000 environment. Responsible for installing and configuring IBM HTTP Server, JBOSS Webserver, Tomcat Server on AIX, Linux, and Windows. Configure WebSphere horizontal and vertical Cluster environments for fail over and load balancing. Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for the WAS in the clustered environment. Configure JDBC drivers, Data Sources, JMS connection factories, Virtual Hosts, Global Security, SSL, and LDAP. Responsible for programming and documenting system utilities with Bash/ Shell scripting and Java languages. Involved in the deployment, administration, and operational support of (production, staging, test and development) environments for multiple projects using WebSphere Application Server. Provide technical assistance to the entire customer staff of developers, operators, and administrators. Work with developers and QA team in various stages of development and testing and take applications from DEV to Test to QA and PROD environments. Work on production release, production patching, and manual run of different batches as per management approvals in production. Document various procedures involved in the day-to-day maintenance of various environments. Other similar duties as assigned. M-F; 40 hrs/week.
