Are you ready to take charge of a leading university dining program known for its innovation and excellence? Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a visionary Senior Executive Chef to bring their expertise, creativity, and leadership to the vibrant campus of the University of Houston. In this role, you’ll oversee culinary operations across multiple dining venues, transforming meals into unforgettable experiences for students, staff, and guests. From crafting innovative menus to encouraging a talented culinary team, you’ll be at the heart of delivering outstanding dining in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your Impact:
As the Senior Executive Chef, you’ll:
Define Excellence: Set the bar for culinary quality across retail, board meals, and catering operations.
Inspire and Develop: Lead, mentor, and train a diverse culinary team to achieve their fullest potential.
Drive Innovation: Bring bold, on-trend ideas to the table while championing health, wellness, and sustainability.
Deliver Results: Lead menu development, purchasing, food cost controls, and inventory with precision.
Elevate the Experience: Engage directly with customers, providing expert insights on menu offerings.
What You’ll Need:
Proven experience leading complex culinary operations.
A passion for innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
A track record of inspiring teams and delivering results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary degree preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Food Services Technology/Management/or related field preferred
Three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
Experience with planning and leading catering events from a culinary perspective
Strong leadership skills and desire to work with an industry leader
Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Email and the Internet)
Ability to communicate on various levels including management, departmental, customer and associate
ServSafe® Certification
