We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer (TVAC Systems) to join the team with JETS II Teammate company, Nexus Solutions.
Responsibilities:
Provide project engineering support to one or more projects
Prepare engineering specifications, statements of work, and estimates for a wide range of test related projects
Manage budget and schedule of projects that are assigned
Work in a team environment, and report to a section manager for technical support, task assignment, and processes
Coordinate and lead Mechanical Engineering designers, stress engineers and drawing checkers to complete detailed fabrication drawings
Support hardware troubleshooting to investigate mechanical and electrical failures with test support hardware
Generate essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy Reports(DR), and Detailed Test Procedures (DTP), as needed
Place and carefully track progress of procurements
Prepare and present designs at various engineering design reviews
Perform job functions based on pre-established guidelines or instructions
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team
Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision
Self-motivated, team player and adaptable to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required
Ability to coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team to trouble-shoot facility problems and determine appropriate corrective actions
Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels
Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings
Requisition Preferences:
BS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school
Must have a minimum of five (5) years' relevant engineering experience
Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures
Fire Hazards in Oxygen Systems Training
Inventor, Creo or other similar CAD Soft ware package is preferred
PMP certification
Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:
Individual may be required to climb ladders and/or work in Confined Spaces
Individual may be required to work in Oxygen Deficiency Hazard areas
Individual may be required to work in High Noise environment
Individual may be required to occasionally work off -hours, nights, or weekends to support mission critical projects
